Marine weather in Guadeloupe: preparing your boat trip
Trade winds, the prevailing wind
In Guadeloupe, trade winds usually blow from the east. Mornings are often calmer: the best time to head to the islets.
Where to check the weather
Check Météo-France (Guadeloupe coastal bulletin) and Windy for wind and swell. From 20 knots of wind, we usually cancel the trip.
Hurricane season
From June to November, watch the alerts. In case of a hurricane warning, everything stops: no trips. The rest of the year, conditions are usually ideal.
Bad weather: we reschedule or refund
Before each departure, the Kiff Caraïbes Nautique team reviews the weather with you. If the weather is bad, we move your trip to another date or refund you.
