Snorkeling in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin: the best spots by boat
The largest lagoon in the Lesser Antilles
The Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin has a 29 km coral reef, seagrass beds and mangroves. A paradise for snorkeling with family or friends.
Our favourite spots
The reef around îlet Caret, the coral heads along the barrier reef, and the back of îlet Fajou, where you may spot turtles and sharks (they are shy: it takes a little patience and luck). All these spots are saved in our boats' Garmin GPS.
The Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin wreck
Just before the barrier reef, past îlet Caret, lies a wreck less than 10 minutes by boat from Caret. It is one of the most requested spots: colourful fish, coral and stunning water. The route to the wreck is already saved in our boats' GPS, so you get there safely.
Go further: the underwater scooter
Add a Sublue underwater scooter to your rental to explore the reef effortlessly.
Tips
Don't touch coral, don't feed fish, and anchor on sand or at buoys. Leave in the morning for calmer, clearer water.
